Welwitchia University and Bulawayo Polytechnic Strengthen Strategic Partnership through Stakeholder Engagement Meeting
Windhoek, Namibia – [02 June 2025] – Welwitchia University proudly hosted a pivotal stakeholder engagement meeting with representatives from Bulawayo Polytechnic. The meeting focused on advancing the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the two institutions, ensuring that all strategic areas outlined in the agreement are translated into concrete, actionable initiatives.
A significant outcome of the meeting was the establishment of a Joint Collaboration Committee, which will act as the technical steering committee responsible for overseeing the successful execution of the MOU Implementation Plan. This committee will play a critical role in fostering innovation, research, and academic collaboration between the two institutions.
The Bulawayo Polytechnic delegation, led by Ms. Chiedza Masanganise (Principal), Mr. Mnsikani (Director: Research and Innovation), and Ms. Lindiwe Moyo (International Linkages and Partnerships Officer), also embarked on a visit to the Eenhana Vocational Training Centre (VTC) and the WU Walvis Bay Dolphin Campus. These visits are part of a benchmarking exercise aimed at sharing best practices and identifying opportunities for mutual collaboration.
The strategic partnership visit concluded on 6 June 2025, marking an important milestone in the ongoing collaboration between Welwitchia University and Bulawayo Polytechnic. Both institutions remain committed to nurturing this partnership for the advancement of higher education and innovation in the region
