Faculty of Health Sciences Rallies for Breast Cancer Awareness with Community Service Event
Welwitchia University's Faculty of Health Sciences recently hosted a community service event on 25 October 2024, honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month with an impactful, community-centered approach. Staff members from all Welwitchia University campuses proudly donned pink T-shirts and ribbons—items purchased through a dedicated Staff and Student Representative Council (SRC) initiative—symbolizing their commitment to the cause. This event not only brought visible unity across campuses but also underscored the importance of awareness, education, and early detection of breast cancer.The initiative's proceeds will be donated to the Cancer Association of Namibia, extending Welwitchia University's community service efforts toward supporting ongoing cancer research and patient care across the nation.
