[Windhoek, 24 March 2025] Welwitchia University's is hosting a comprehensive
Orientation Program from March 24-26, 2025, at the City Campus (3rd Floor) for new
students embarking on diverse paths: Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery Science
Honours (Level 8), Certificate for Enrolled Nurse-Midwife/Accoucheur (Level 6),
Diploma in Environmental Health Sciences (Level 6), and Certificate in Pharmacy (Level
5) programs. This three-day event, skilfully guided by Masters of Ceremony Mr.
Immanuel Ndumba, Lecturer: School of Nursing, aims to facilitate a smooth transition
into university life by offering key insights into Welwitchia University’s academic
requirements and exploring vital aspects of campus facilities and procedures.
Addressing potential challenges like culture shock and emphasizing critical safety and
security protocols, this program ensures that students are well-prepared for their
academic journey. A guided tour is included to allow students to familiarise themselves
with the institution's layout and discover resources to support them, empowering them
to thrive as they embark on their studies. Students also had the opportunity to engage
with faculty members and student representative council members during a one day
mini Faculty Fair which included a lot of questions from students, games, promotions
and fun.
